Hi everyone,
I’ve just posted a video for you all about Jupiter’s upcoming transit through Cancer, which began on June 9, 2025, and lasts until June 30, 2026. Jupiter is known as the greater benefic - expansive, optimistic, and often associated with wisdom, morality, and growth. But when it moves through Cancer, its influence turns inward. This is a time when home, family, ancestry, and emotional safety come into focus, offering deep opportunities for healing and connection.
In the video, I also talk about how this transit invites us to develop emotional intelligence, explore our roots, and connect with the land we live on—whether spiritually, intuitively, or through research into local history. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, which gives this transit a rich, soulful quality, perfect for nurturing our inner world. I also examine key aspects, a series of squares to the planets in Aries, namely Saturn, Neptune and Chiron, along with a trine to the North Node.
For those wanting a more personalised understanding to accompany the global interpretation, horoscopes are available below.
In the Tarot, Jupiter is represented by the card The Wheel of Fortune (number 10) and Cancer by The Chariot (number 7). With often positive talk about Jupiter, it’s important to remember that he can be negatively expressed just like any other planet. Jupiter can have a tendency to go overboard so in relation to Cancer, this can indicate smothering rather than nurturing and over-the-top displays of emotion. The Chariot is a reminder to harness emotions so that they effectively drive us forwards.
The Chariot is a card of emotional control. If we are in touch with our vast emotional capacity, then this can motivate us to seize the opportunities that the Wheel of Fortune offers. There is also a subtle suggestion that the more we are in touch with our emotions, the less we feel at the mercy of fate, riding life’s ups and downs with grace.
From the tarot’s perspective, the beauty of this transit is that there is an ability to retain a sense of child-like wonder yet also to reach for higher understanding. If you add the numbers of these two Major Arcana cards, it results in number 17 – the card of The Star. Ultimately, Jupiter in Cancer says there is hope for us all because if we can learn to take care of ourselves better than we can be more generous and loving towards others. And that is the way for our world to advance.
